The Futures Committee has submitted a letter to the California Acupuncture Board (CAB) requesting an interview.
Dear CSOMA Members:
The Futures Committee has submitted a letter to the California Acupuncture Board (CAB) requesting an interview to discuss the latest move toward replacing the CALE with the NCCAOM exam (and possible California-supplement exam).
CSOMA is requesting an open Q&A meet-and-greet with the CAB, either in person or via web so that we can update our membership on the exam. We have had several questions and concerns about when and how the exam changes will take place.
The Futures Committee is opening up a CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS OF QUESTIONS so we can submit our questions to the CAB prior to our meeting.
What questions do you have regarding the potential changes of the exam? Please include them in the comments below, or email us at memberservices@csomaonline.org.
We ask for your questions/concerns no later than Tuesday September 26th, 2017.
We hope to provide you with answers to, at minimum, the following questions:
1. How was the decision made, to replace the California Acupuncture Licensing Exam, CALE with the NCCAOM exam?
2. When did the decision to replace the CALE with the NCCAOM exam take place, and who was involved in the decision making process?
3. When is the NCCAOM exam scheduled to replace the CALE?
4. Will there be a California supplemental exam component?
